Guyanas' Highlights- Guyana, French Guyana and Suriname - 15 Days/ 14 Nights
Explore Guyanas natural variety and take the chance to visit the Amerindian community. While you are walking through the forests, watch and admire the unique bird life. Visit the small villages and discover also Jewish heritage there.
Day 01 - Friday- Departure from the U.S. to Georgetown, the capital of the Guyana. Arrive and transfer to Cara Lodge.
Day 02 - Transfer to the airport for a flight to Karanambu Ranch in the North Rupununi savannahs. This is the home of Diane McTurk, widely known for her work in rehabilitating orphaned, giant river otters to the wild. Diane and her otters have appeared on National Geographic, Jeff Corwin Experience, Really Wild Show (BBC) and the Calgary’s “Zoo World”.(BLD)
Day 03 - Explore the Rupununi River in search of wild Giant River Otters, Black Caiman and Arapaima. Evening visit to Crane Pond. (BLD)
Day 04 - Transfer by boat and 4x4 to the Amerindian community at Surama. Walking tour to observe the forest and bird life and village tour. Overnight at Surama Guest House.(BLD)
Day 05 - Trek across the savannah and then the gentle climb up Surama Mountain in the cool morning air up to the Burro Burro River. (BLD)
Day 06 - Canopy tour and transfer by 4x4 to Annai with lunch at Rock View Lodge. Flight to Georgetown. City tour and overnight at Cara Lodge. (BL)
Day 07 - Trip to Kaieteur Falls and Orinduik. Overnight at Cara Lodge. (BL)
Day 08 - Flight to Paramaribo,capital city of Suriname- the Dutch Guyana. Overnight at Eco Resort Inn. (B)
Day 09 - Full day Commewijne Plantation, Dutch colonial plantation tour. (BL)
Day 10 - Full day Jodensavanne, Jewish village and Blakawatra tour. (BL)
Day 11 - Transfer to the French Guiana border, Customs and transfer to Cayenne, capital city of the French Guyana. City tour and overnight at Hotel Amazonia. (B)
Day 12 - Space Centre tour and museum. Overnight in Kourou at the Mecure Atlantis. (BL)
Day 13 - FD Devils Island (only on Royal Island). (BL)
Day 14 - Return to Paramaribo, along the Suriname Cost. City tour and overnight. (B)
Day 15 - Transfer to airport for departing flight to U.S. (B)
