Rainforest & Waterfall Adventure - 8 Days/ 7 Nights
Visit the Rainforest in Guyana and discover the fantastic waterfalls. Explore the wildlife and admire the natural variety of this country. An unique experience!
Day 01 - Departure from the U.S. to Georgetown. Arrival and transfer to selected hotel. (Saturday)
Day 02 - Transfer to airport for a flight over endless rainforest before reaching the spectacular Kaieteur Falls. Then continue on to the Brazilian border and bathe in the natural jacuzzi formed when the Ireng River thunders over solid Jasper at Orinduik Falls. On return flight land at Baganara Island where you can find one hundred and eighty-seven acres of lush green foliage and colourful tropical flowers. (BLD)
Day 03 - Day at leisure at Baganara Island Resort. You can answer the call of the wild along our jungle walk, where you'll find many different species of flora and fauna or you can try your hand at a variety of other outdoor activities including canoeing, fishing, water skiing, volleyball, table tennis, riding wave runners, or simply sunbathing and swimming. Day 04 - Morning breakfast transfer by boat to Shanklands Rainforest Resort offers fabulous views of the river and forest. Set on rolling lawns with a rainforest backdrop, Shanklands is both romantic and exciting. Wander the nature trails or explore the river and creeks by kayak to discover hidden coves and beaches. Overnight at Shanklands Rainforest Resort. (BLD)
Day 05 - Day to enjoy the facilities at Shanklands Rainforest Resort, including nature trails and your own private beach. Overnight at Shanklands Rainforest Resort. (BLD)
Day 06 - A boat trip on the Essequibo and Mazaruni Rivers to see Kyk-Over-Al which was once the Dutch seat of government in the county of Essequibo. Now all that remains on this island are the ruins of the former stronghold which guarded the junction of the Mazaruni and Cuyuni Rivers. You will be taken to Bartica the mining township. Further on up the Mazaruni River we reach the Baracara Falls for a refreshing swim. Overnight at Shanklands Rainforest Resort. (BLD)
Day 07 - Boat trip through Essequibo River and return to Georgetown. City tour and overnight. (B)
Day 08 - Transfer to airport for return flight to the U.S.
