Family Getaway to Belize - 8 Days/ 7 Nights
This tour has something for everyone: lush rainforest, Mayan ruins, rivers and pine forests, white sand beaches on paradise islands and a myriad of wildlife from birds to sharks and rays. A wonderful mix of adventure and luxurious relaxation.
Day 01 - Arrive to Belize and transfer to Belize City. Overnight at Radisson Fort George.
Day 02 - Belize Zoo and Xunantunich. The Belize Zoo was created as a sanctuary for the country’s indigenous species and is now home for an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles and birds. Jaguars, tapirs, toucan and jabirus are but a few of the exotic species for photo opportunities. After lunch, head to the Maya ruins of Xunantunich and climb to the top of “El Castillo”, the largest of the temples at this site, for a panoramic view of the Cayo District and nearby Guatemala. Day 03 - Full day tour the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, explore Rio Frio Caves and Rio On bathing pools. Visit the Maya site of Caracol, the largest and most impressive temple at this site is still the highest structure in the country. Lunch and dinner Included. (BL)
Day 04 - Safari Ride at Peccary Hills National Park & Inland Waterways. Peccary Park is set in the rainforest and rolling hills of this quaint village once inhabited by the Mayas. Board your safari-type vehicle for a leisurely tour of rainforest trails, caves once inhabited by the Mayas, jungle river and swamps to arrive at the Northern Lagoon Beach. Board river boats back to the Belize City docks. This tour is ideal for viewing wildlife in natural habitats. Arrival in Belize City and fly to Ambergris Caye. check in at hotel for 4 nights accommodation. (BL)
Day 05 - Half day guided tour to the Hol Chan Marine reserve and Shark Ray to swim with sharks and rays. (B)
Day 06 - Relax on the white sand beach or arrange a snorkel tour, diving excursion or fly-fishing trip. (B)
