Multi Sports around Costa Rica - 8 Days/ 7 Nights
Costa Rica is a perfect destination for the traveller interested in exploring the scenery and enjoying great sports activities. This tour is designed for the students on a break from an arduous semester, the ambitious career person on a much needed vacation, the family looking for quality time bonding or the thrill seeker looking for the new challenge. Whatever your reason, this is the perfect vacation for you.
Day 01 - Arrive in San Jose (Costa Rica) and transfer to La Fortuna/ Arenal. Accommodations at 3*+/Casa Luna Lodge with daily breakfast and an impressive view of the Arenal Volcano, as well as a breathtaking view of the Cerro Chato and Cerro Perdidos. Remainder of day at leisure.
Day 02 - Sarapiqui River Rafting: Verdant forest reaches right up to the river's sun-basked banks. The river stretches its way through lush vegetation that is home to hummingbirds, toucans, woodpeckers and scores of other native bird species.(BL)
Day 03 - Arenal Sky Tram & Trek, Canopy tour: The slow paced Sky Tram gondolas will provide a smooth ride through the rain forest, with endless views along the way. From there, there are two options for returning to the base: first is to ride back down the same way you came up, on the Sky Tram. The other and more exciting is to zip your way to the bottom, along the fast moving canopy tour zip lines. (B)
Day 04 - Canyonning & Rappel: Trek through the forest on trails that lead to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica. From the first waterfall, rappel down from the top into the beautiful and pristine canyon below. The adventure includes five rappels, four of which are along waterfalls and one dry rock face. See tropical birds, monkeys and thousands of different kinds of plants and flowers. You do not need experience and this tour is kid friendly. (BL)
Day 05 - Transfer Manuel Antonio Beach. Accommodations at 3* Costa Verde Hotel on a hill overlooking the ocean- daily breakfast included. Remainder of day at leisure.(B)
Day 06 - Kayaking at Damas Island Estuary: Paddle through the smooth inland waterways of the Damas Island Estuary: Mangroves, a wealth of animal and bird life, Sally light foot crab, boa constrictors tangled in the aerial roots, silky ant eaters and monkeys in the upper branches and crocodiles slipping in and out of the water. Day 07 - Day at leisure to enjoy the beach. Optional tour to Manuel Antonio National Park. (B)
Day 08 - Shuttle transfer to San Jose to board return flight to U.S. (B)
