Panama City and Canal Getaway - 5 Days/ 4 Nights
Panama has few rivals in the quantity of its attractions: Fifteen hundred islands on both Caribbean and Pacific coasts, accessible rainforests, spectacularly beautiful mountains and highlands, historical sites from a rich past as an international crossroads and a cosmopolitan capital city with a non-stop nightlife. Not to mention that other mega-attraction - the Panama Canal.
Day 01 - Departure from U.S.. Transfer from airport to selected hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 02 - City tour : Visit the Causeway, which offers spectacular views of the modern city and its skyscrapers. In contrast, the oldest sector of the modern Panama City founded in 1673, has a charming mixture of colonial architecture, cobblestone streets and ethnic diversity. Visit Presidential Palace, the National Theatre, the 17th century Church of the Golden Altar and the Independence Square. Afterwards Canal visit. (B)
Day 03 - Day at leisure. Evening folkloric show and dinner at Tinajas,authentic cuisine based on a collection of the best traditional Panamanian recipes from around the country, carefully prepared by chefs with the most fresh native ingredients.(BD)
Day 04 - Full day Taboga Island, also known as the Island of Flowers, which is a beautiful island with an intriguing history. The Island has several beaches to choose from, and most of the beaches offer stunning views towards the Panama. The history dates back to the times of the Spanish Explorers, and for a short time in the late 1800´s served as home to the French Post-impressionist painter Paul Gauguin. Just walking the island is a delight for the senses and a fascinating trip through history and a chance to enjoy some of the best dining places in Panama (B)
Day 05 - Transfer to airport for departure flight. (B)
