Natural Splendor - 9 Days/ 8 Nights
Enjoy the natural variety of Honduras. Explore the National Parks, visiting Comayagua with its wealth of colonial monuments like the Santa Mar�a, also known as La Inmaculada Concepci�n church, and the colonial museum. Discover archeological sites of this beautiful country such as Valle de Angeles, a picturesque mining town.
Day 01 - Arrival in San Pedro Sula airport and transfer to selected Hotel.
Day 02 - Transfer to Tegucigalpa visiting Los Naranjos Archaeological Site at the Yojoa Lake. Afternoon visit the Valle de Angeles, a picturesque mining town which retains its Spanish colonial atmosphere and Santa Lucia. These 2 mining towns, just 30 minutes away from Tegucigalpa, give you the chance to explore the typical Honduran Countryside. Overnight at selected hotel. (BL)
Day 03 - Visit the La Tigra National Park and transfer to La Esperanza, visiting Comayagua with its wealth of colonial monuments like the Santa María, also known as La Inmaculada Concepción church, Casa Real, San Francisco church, and the colonial museum, with and eclectic and occasionally fascinating collection of religious art from Comayagua’s churches, including paintings, chalices, statues, Overnight. Day 04 - City tour and transfer to Copán Ruins. Located in the jungles of north-eastern Honduras they are some of the oldest and most well preserved Ruins of the Maya Empire. An incredible array of unique flora & fauna thrive in the dense tropical jungles and Honduras offers a rare opportunity to explore these remote wilderness areas. Overnight in Copán. (BL)
Day 05 - Full day Copán tour Archaeological Site, the Sculpture Museum and Las Sepulturas. Horse back riding tour to the Hacienda San Lucas, visiting a place called Los Sapos, a small site located on the hilltops overlooking the Copán valley. Overnight in Copán. (BL)
Day 06 - Visit the Tropical Bird Park, transfer to Tela with stop at Finca Santa Isabel coffee plantation: after lunch hike its trails to discover the process of making coffee, from the plant nursery to the last processing of the coffee beans. Overnight at the Hotel Villas Telamar. (BL)
Day 07 - Visit Punta Sal National Park and transfer to La Ceiba, visiting a garífuna community. Overnight. (BLD)
Day 08 - Full day tour Pico Bonito, a beautiful and diverse National Park: hike through tropical jungle and swim in crystal clear water ponds under beautiful waterfalls. Accessible through the rivers Zacate and Cangrejal, it has a cloud forest, several endangered species and many waterfalls and the beauty reaches its greatest splendor during the rainy season with the appearance of new waterfalls. Day 09 - Flight to San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa to connect with your international departure flight. (B)
